If there's one street fishing spot you should visit once in your life, it's Strasbourg.
Strasbourg is the Mecca of street fishing in France, and even in Europe!
It was here, alongside Toulouse and Paris, that street fishing was born. What's more, the town is known to street fishers for being the first to have an asp population in France, arriving via the Rhine in the late 80s.

Like all the towns on this tour of France's Streetfishing hot spots, Strasbourg offers a wealth of restaurants and traditional Alsatian dishes. Don't miss out on sauerkraut, flamkuch or a good beer (in moderation!).
The ill in Strasbourg winds its way through the city via several arms and canals. The banks are paved, very accessible and resolutely urban. The setting is very picturesque, with its many half-timbered houses, terraces and river!
And don't miss the Rhone-Rhine Canal at the port of Strasbourg, also very accessible and pleasant to walk along.
