The freshwater boating event of the year
The Mercury Marine France association, together with the Fédération Française des Pêches Sportives (French Sport Fishing Federation), helped organize this fine event. A French Boat Lure Fishing Championship under the aegis of the Ministry of Sports and the FFPS/Carnassier.
The long-awaited event will take place in Poses, on the River Seine in the Eure department. A two-day competition, on November 11 and 12, 2023, with the participation of the Fédération Départementale Pêche 27. A competition included in the FFPS calendar to proclaim the 2023 French Carnivore Boat Fishing Champions.
55 teams registered
55 teams will take to the water for 13 hours, divided into two legs of seven and six hours. The 27-kilometer course runs from the Poses dam to the Andelys bridge, an area rich in pike-perch, pike-perch and perch. A mouth-watering competition with renowned competitors such as Tanguy Demule and Thierry Noël (French Champions 2022), Marie-Hélène Duclaud and François Duclaud (French Champions 2021), Romain Le Moigne and Charly Touche (French Champions 2019), Alain Marragou and Nicolas Delebarre (French Champions 2018), as well as Julien Himbert and Vincent Lopez, Morgan Favard and Mathieu Cabar, Thomas Vogels and Cédrik Djelassi, and former professional footballer Nolan Roux with Stéphane Hermann.
No fewer than 55 boats and 55 teams, i.e. 110 competitors, will be vying for first place in the MFC and the title of FFPS Carnivore Boat Fishing Champions of France 2023.
A TV set and great prizes
No fewer than 40 volunteers, including organizers, referees and stewards, will be on hand to support the event. Several Mercury Marine team members and brand ambassadors will also be on hand to support the organization.
The Mercury Fishing Cup will be covered live on Sunday November 12 on the Mercury Marine France Facebook page and the Pêcheur.com Youtube channel. A TV set in the MFC colors will feature 12 fixed and mobile cameras with onboard cameramen, as well as drone footage, for six hours of live coverage. Frédéric Brilloux and Stéphane Durand-Robin will be on hand to host the show, monitor the live feed, and interview competitors, volunteers and partners.
25,000 in prizes will be awarded to the best competitors among the 110 entries, including a cheque for ?10,000 for the winners of this competition.
