The Deeper Range Booster Kit allows you to customize your Deeper Pro+ or Chirp+ sonar to meet the needs of carp anglers using a bait boat.
Installation of the scratch type sticker for priming boat.
Even though the attachment arm is installed at the water's edge at each session, it is advisable before the first use to glue the plastic scratch pad that will hold the attachment arm. The kit has two such pieces. The piece is to be glued to the back of the bait boat (out of the water of course) and on a flat surface that has been well washed beforehand (a wipe is provided for this purpose). This self-adhesive scratch sticker adheres perfectly and resists to bad weather and numerous uses.
Please note that you can cut this self-adhesive part slightly to adapt it to your bait boat. This is the only work to be done at home. Indeed, as promised by Deeper, no tools are required. No modification of the bait boat either. It's child's play!
The charge
Before using your amplifier, you should charge it. Also remember to charge your Deeper Pro+2 or Chirp+2. To fully charge your amplifier, allow 3 hours on AC power.
Installation steps of the kit
1) Set up a stable tripod to accommodate the amplifier and smartphone stand. Your amplifier must be at least 1.20 m from the ground in order to take full advantage of the increased wifi signal. The Tripod Deeper is perfect for this. Delivered in a bag, its size is 41 cm X 11 cm for a weight of 1.2 kg.
The legs are adjustable in length and tilt. The column is also adjustable in height. This last one benefits from an adjustable head (ball joint with screw) on which the amplifier/smartphone support is screwed.
Its height can be adjusted from 51 cm to 136 cm. This tripod can also be used for other accessories (camera ...).
2) Screw the amplifier to the flexible rod of the amplifier/smartphone holder.
3) Insert your smartphone into the clip provided for this purpose. The smartphone is perfectly held and will not fall out. This clamp rotates clockwise or counterclockwise (135 degrees).
Note that my smartphone, in addition to being imposing, has a large protective shell. And yet it holds wonderfully well!
4) Attach the arm to your bait boat. The plastic pinned scratch of the arm is inserted into the plastic pinned scratch of the boat (glued beforehand on your boat). With this system, the arm is firmly attached and will not come loose. Simple, but effective.
5) Place the Deeper Pro+2 or Chirp+2 into the ball base. The plastic nipple of the ball base should fit into the bottom screw thread of the Deeper. Next, the metal screw should be screwed into the middle screw thread of the Deeper. Here again the fit is perfect.
6) It is important to leave the line clip on the top screw of the deeper, as it allows you to attach the safety line to your bait boat.
7) Launch the bait boat so that the waterline of the Deeper arm fits perfectly.
