To make correctly a stick-soluble for carp fishing

In a previous article we saw how to prepare a stick-mix. Now, it is a question of making a good soluble stick to fish effectively. Review of a simple and effective way to do it.

First of all, make sure your hands are dry and avoid any contact with water (with rain for example) on the soluble sock. Otherwise it will melt before you can do anything. Also, always remember to store your soluble socks, soluble bags or other PVA products in a dry place, otherwise there will be bad surprises.

For the realization of a well finished bait stick you will need a soluble sock (diameter 20 or 25), the whole on a distribution kit with a pusher and scissors.

The stick-soluble in steps

1) Pour the mix into the funnel of the soluble sock kit, having taken care beforehand to close the sock with a simple knot. I simply use the lid of the kit to pour.

2) Using the pusher, taking care to block the outlet of the funnel, pack the poured mix well.

3) Once the mix is well compacted, push it out of the funnel with the pusher. At the same time, the soluble sock is extended to the outside of the funnel and the compacted mix is placed inside. During this step, be careful not to "loosen" the mix.

4) To close the stick, tie a simple knot over the contents of the mix, pulling the soluble sock tight. The knot must come against the packed mix without giving it too much freedom so that it doesn't "unravel".

5) Once the closing knot is made, you just have to cut the soluble sock. The stick is ready

Before putting away the accessories, it is best to already make the knot that will close the soluble sock on the funnel. This way, everything is ready to make the next stick, and moreover the soluble sock will not fray.
