1 - Adapting your clothing
Generally speaking, to protect oneself from mosquitoes, one dresses in the same way as to protect oneself from the sun. That is to say that you cover your body from head to toe, as I discussed in the following article : HERE . The important thing to remember is that the smallest piece of skin that we leave exposed is an opportunity for mosquitoes to bite us.
It is necessary to pay attention to all these opportunities left to mosquitoes, tucking sleeves into gloves or trouser bottoms into socks are among the details that can make the confrontation with mosquitoes more pleasant. For the latter case, rather than using pants open on the bottom, wearing leggings is a good solution to not leave the opportunity for mosquitoes to bite the ankles.

2 - Wear a mosquito net
One of the most vulnerable and difficult parts of the body to cover is on the sides of the face, the area between the glasses, the neck warmer and the hat that is not covered. To protect this area, there are nets that completely cover the head.
The precaution to take with this accessory is that it must be put before the area infected by mosquitoes. Otherwise, you will trap mosquitoes under the protection and it will be useless.

3 - Smoking
I'm obviously not encouraging smoking, but for those who do smoke, the smoke is a very good mosquito repellent. When fishing from shore at a fixed location, building a fire is a good way to keep mosquitoes away.
4 - Use mosquito repellent
There are some very good repellents for certain species of mosquitoes. Unfortunately, it often takes several tries to find the right one for the mosquitoes in the area.
Even with all the mosquito repellents available, there are some species of mosquitoes on which none of these repellents work, such as sandflies. In this case, only the right clothing is the solution to avoid being bitten.
