Suisen, a different kind of insect
The Suisen is a floating insect unlike any other. One difference with most lures of the same family is that the attachment ring is placed on the head, whereas it is often located on the back.

To maintain the crawling action, the wings are inverted. These wings are relatively large compared to the lure's length of 4.3 centimetres. This length ensures that the lure swims perfectly, which is not always the case with this type of lure, but with this one it is!
In the end, this modification of the attachment point is neither good nor bad. What we end up with is a floating insect imitation, swimming forward this time, which, depending on how you interpret it, can be reminiscent of a frog.

The other special feature of the Suisen, which explains the front attachment point, is that the rear part of the lure is made of soft plastic, while the head is hard.

What's more, a joint ensures the connection between these two parts, each made from a different material. This design forms a sort of hybrid between a soft floating lure and a hard crawler.
This part, made of soft plastic, crushes during an attack and allows treble hooks to be released, minimizing the number of misses.
In terms of available colors, the choice is relevant and realistic, with hues reminiscent of real insects, such as wasps, bees and dragonflies.

Use
The Suisen is clearly designed primarily for black bass, whether in spring, summer or autumn. With its reduced size, but voluminous appearance given by its wide wings, it presents a beautiful prey to predators, while being easily swallowed by them.

It can also be used for chub, perch or even trout. However, because of its soft plastic part, it's best not to use it in areas where you're likely to find a lot of small pike, as its durability could be greatly reduced.
What's more, its fine hooks and structure are best reserved for the species mentioned above.
You can use it linearly, so that it swims in a crawling motion, or in a more classic way by placing it on the surface, to imitate a floating insect.
My opinion
What I like about the Suisen is that it swims well even though the lure is small. It casts well and accurately, so it's great for fishing that requires precision, like casting under branches on the edge, and making noise quickly because the action zone is short.
