Debu Nyoro 120
The Debu Nyoro is part of the sinking stickbait family. This version, compared with the original 8.5-centimetre version, is 3.5 centimetres longer and 31 grams heavier!

This extra weight makes it possible to reach greater distances, but requires the use of stronger equipment. All in all, it weighs 42 grams for a length of 12 centimetres, making it a real missile for reaching far distances.

This extra weight allows the lure to be very stable regardless of current strength or retrieve speed. Being a sinking stickbait, it will sink gently if you stop reeling it in, and swim close to the surface on retrieve. Another feature of this lure is that it is silent, which is well suited to its fast swimming action.
As far as retrieve is concerned, the swim in which it excels is when numerous twitches are applied, creating a totally disoriented swim. It is for this very reason that the smaller version remains one of the benchmarks for asp fishing.
This XL version of the Debu Nyoro has an internal frame that makes it very strong. The hooks and split rings used match this desire for solidity, and the lure can be used as it is to take on large predators.

A choice of 14 different colors is already on offer, which is quite rare for a lure making its debut, and that's a very good thing. These colors are sea-fishing-accessible, with a predominance of brightness.

Finally, unlike the vast majority of lures, the Debu Nyoro's eyes point upwards, reducing the eye signal that many anglers appreciate.

This peculiarity makes it resemble the anableps, small American fish that have the amazing ability to see both underwater and out of the water, thanks to their four eyes!

Use
The first 8.5-centimetre version of the Debu Nyoro has long been a benchmark for asp fishing, but this 12-centimetre version lends itself much less to the search for this species, although it's not impossible.
It's designed for sea fishing in search of sea bass or barracuda, species that enjoy disoriented swimming at high speed. Thanks to its sturdiness, it can also be used to catch more powerful fish such as small trevally, small tuna and dolphinfish.
My opinion
This XL version of the Debu Nyoro is not really comparable to its smaller counterpart, apart from its swimming action. In fact, it brings a real innovation, including increased strength, for use on powerful species.
For exotic fishing, the Debu Nyoro 120 should be the talk of the town!
