Namazemi
The first thing you notice about the Namazemi is that it looks so much like an insect!

This realism is provided by the quality of the colors used, the transparent wings and, above all, the legs.

As for the latter, they are flexible and seem relatively solid to ensure good durability. However, their placement in relation to the treble hook, which is located just below, does cause a few tangles from time to time.
Replacing this treble hook with a single one will reduce this inconvenience, even if it doesn't happen very often.
The line attachment ring is located on the back of the lure. When the lure is pulled back, the wings spread out and create some resistance.

Even if the lure is only 4.5 grams, because of this resistance, it's better to go for a medium-light rather than ultra-light rod with a fast or medium-fast action.
Last but not least, Namazemi is available in 8 colors, reminiscent of different insect species such as bees and wasps.

Use
To use the Namazemi, simply place it on the surface of the water to imitate an insect that has just fallen. It casts well and accurately, allowing you to throw it under branches overhanging the water, for example. In this case, chub, black bass and trout are the direct targets of this lure.

Although the shape of its wings may suggest it, it does not crawl when reeled in at a constant speed. So it's best to reel it in with short strokes, to give the effect of an insect struggling on the surface of the water.

My opinion
The Namazemi is a member of the family of floating hard lures that imitate insects. In fact, this type of lure is not very widespread, whereas the adrenalin they provide when used, and when you see the fish take hold of them, makes them one of the friendliest lures to use.
Their use is closer to dry fly fishing than to traditional lure fishing, which may even lead to the discovery of another fishing technique.
