The Nano Siglett from Megabass is a small floating insect measuring just 23.8 millimetres. Its appearance and ease of use make it ideal and durable for chub fishing. Let's take a look at this mini lure with maximum appeal!

Nano Siglett

The Nano Siglett is a floating lure representing an insect with wings. The body is made of hard plastic, while the wings are made of semi-rigid plastic. They bend and spring back easily, and have no memory, making them long-lasting.

The imitation is successful.
In terms of colors, there are several insect imitations, such as a bee, which is totally consistent with the food of a good number of fish.
Les couleurs sont réalistes.
The colors are realistic.
The lure is armed with a double hook positioned underneath.
The attachment point is at the rear. So when the lure is brought back, the wings spread out and make it wobble. Given the lure's small size (2.4 centimetres), this wobbling action isn't perfect in the slightest wave or wind, but that doesn't matter, because the priority with this lure is to deposit it on the surface without doing anything else.

Use

The miniature size of the Nano Siglett is clearly designed for chub and trout fishing. It can also be used for black-bass fishing, although the larger size seems more appropriate in this case.
It can be used for casting or retrieving, or simply laid on the surface, letting it float away with the current. It's halfway between a lure and a fly. Although it requires lure fishing equipment to be used, its use and approach is more akin to fishing with a dry fly.

My opinion

I knew the larger Siglett, which was a little too big for chub fishing. The smaller nano model, on the other hand, is ideal for chub fishing!

The advantage of hard bugs, compared with soft bugs, is their robustness and much longer lifespan. Another advantage is ease of casting, both in terms of distance and accuracy. Last but not least, the lure's behaviour on the water is perfect, and even with current or waves, it remains clearly visible on the surface.
Sure, the price is higher than that of soft plastic lures, but when it comes to the ratio of fish caught to lure life, the hard lure is much better and ultimately more advantageous! As proof, I've got some in my boxes that must be close to 15 years old, and they're still with me!
