The boat for long sessions?
Carp fishing from a boat is therefore associated with long sessions. After all, who can imagine hitching up a cabin boat, launching it, anchoring it, inflating a second boat... for just a few hours' fishing? What's more, the playground has to be suitable and close to home. The same goes for fishing from a decent-sized Zodiac. It needs to be inflated... Often heavy and cumbersome with all its accessories, it's complicated to handle and, in the end, only serves as a rod holder. To complete the picture, we sometimes need a second Zodiac! Once again, for a few hours at a time, it's prohibitive!
That's how I came up with the idea of a new concept: fishing for carp from a boat for short periods of time, without turning the boat into a stationary platform and, above all, using equipment that is not too restrictive.

Thanks to the floating rod pod invented and built by myself, my boat can still be used even when the rods are taut (baiting, fighting fish, re-tensioning a line, etc.).

The overall dimensions and set-up time are perfectly suited to fast fishing, as the unit is light, relatively compact and quick to install. Note that during the waiting phase, my boat is moored to my device.

The same goes for the various manipulations and fish photos.

There's no need for additional anchors for my boat. In fact, a 5 kg grapple anchor with a rope takes up very little space!
But what is this floating rod pod?
It's a stable floating base equipped with a rod holder that can be anchored wherever I like. It's the centerpiece of my approach. It allows me to use a small boat (1m80) and consequently, to have more than limited, compact and light equipment.

Carp fishing from a boat is now possible for just a few hours of fishing in difficult-to-reach areas.

For this kind of approach, it's important to consider the location, consult the weather forecast... And to be equipped with a lifejacket for safe fishing.
