The Fish Trophy at the Affiche Bateau continues to grow. For this fourth edition, 55 crews appeared in the final standings?five more than in the 2025 edition. They all gathered in Paimpol, in the Côtes-d'Armor, for two days of particularly hard-fought competition.
The competition is based on a simple principle: finding the best-looking sea bass possible to create a selection of five fish. The competition uses lures and single barbless hooks, and the fish are measured before being released back into the water. Fish à l?Affiche?s stated goal is to promote catch-and-release sea bass fishing.
Cabantous Wins the Trophy with a Catch of 496 cm
After the two rounds, Corto Cabantous and Pierre Blouin , playing for the team Cabantous , take first place with an impressive total of 496 cm .
Consistency made the difference. The winners recorded 247 cm in the first round, with five bars measuring 48, 46, 56, 48, and 49 cm, then did even better in the second round with 249 cm: 46, 53, 52, 51, and 47 cm.
Behind them, the battle for the podium was particularly close. Mercury Pro Team , consisting of Laurent Jérôme and Nicolas Kervengant , finishes second with 477 cm .
Third place goes to Lowrance 2 , with Julien Le Dez and Jean-Yves Martin , which total 466 cm .
Rounding out the Top 5 are Fiiish / Rodhouse , fourth with 454 cm, and Fiiish / Railblaza , fifth with 453 cm. So just one centimeter separates fourth and fifth place!

A competition that's gaining momentum
The 2026 edition confirms the continued growth of this Breton event. The organizers announced this year that the capacity is 55 crews , compared to 50 in the previous edition. The competition village was once again set up at Cras Nautique in Paimpol.
By 2025, more than 500 bars had been recorded Over the course of the two days, the Habasque brothers won the third edition, ahead of Team 22 and Evok by Mercury.
With 55 teams in the standings and sometimes razor-thin margins between competitors, the 2026 season confirms the position held by the Fish Trophy Featured on the Boat Poster among the lure-fishing tournaments for sea bass in Brittany.
