can you introduce yourself to the readers?

My name is Iñigo Escriña Arteaga, I am 37 years old, I live in Madrid (Spain) depending on the time of the year I go fishing different reservoirs and rivers in search of the species that are more active. I practice fishing from duck and from the shore, spinning, vertical fishing, fishing with hard and soft lures...

can you tell us about your beginnings in fishing?

My first memories were with my father Francisco Escriña Fernandez to whom I will always be very grateful, in Fuengirola (Malaga), where we spent the afternoons on a rock fishing for bream with a buoy.

when, how and why did you accept to be Pro-Staff?

About 5 years ago I started as a contributor, and I accepted Pro-Staff because I loved Black minnow and I used it a lot for different species, I found the brand through YouTube.

Being an ambassador, what does that mean to you?

I am very proud to be part of such a recognized brand.

your best memory, or an anecdote, as a Pro-Staff to share with our readers?

I had been fishing for pike for a few years and discovering the Black minnow, leaving it vertical at 8 m and watching on my sounder how a pike came up from 15 meters without moving the lure at all and biting was very exciting.

how do you see fishing in Spain?

Fishing in Spain, depending on where you live if you are looking for big specimens or just an entertaining day, often forces you to make long journeys in search of that goal. We all look for big specimens although the crude reality is that they are usually medium sized catches, and when the expected specimen arrives it is an indescribable sensation.

and how do you see it in the fishing world?

From my point of view it is a very big responsibility to represent one or more recognized brands, for which you must be learning and trying different techniques to keep moving forward.

any advice for anglers who someday want to join a Pro-Staff team?

My advice is: if you get to represent a brand, trust the material they provide you, in different times and scenarios, alternating with various species in search of achieving those desired catches, always practicing catch and release.
