Hello Valérie, how did Select Plaisance become a partner of the Mercury Fishing II?
When Yann Diquerreau of Mercury Marine France contacted me about becoming a partner of the second Mercury Fishing Cup, and therefore of the French championship in lure fishing for carnivorous fish from a boat, I didn't hesitate for long. For Select Plaisance and for myself, it was the perfect opportunity to discover the world of competitive fishing. It was also an opportunity to meet other anglers and set up a Select Plaisance Team.

What kind of partnership?
Select Plaisance provided the organizers with two Nakhoda boats and entered six crews for the two days of competition. The founder of the Nakhoda company, John Jiang, even came all the way from China to take part in the competition.
Was this first experience a success for Select Plaisance?
Yes, the whole team representing Select Plaisance at the Mercury Fishing Cup II was delighted. We had a great time together, and this first experience helped unite the entire Select Plaisance team.

Two crews were able to rank after the two days of competition. Régis Da Costa and Molinario finished in a very respectable 22 ème and the Maxime Armagnac and Julien Foucault crew finished 49 ème . Even if the fishing was difficult for some, all the teams representing Select Plaisance had a great time on and off the water.
A competition like this gives anglers and brands a chance to meet. It's a good way to increase visibility and share good times together. I believe that the leisure fishing industry has a great interest in raising its profile and supporting such events.

Will Select Plaisance be present at the next Mercury Fishing Cup in 2025?
Of course, we'll be back for the third edition of the Mercury Fishing Cup, with a larger number of crews and, of course, new ambitions.
