Visit Carrefour National Pêche et Loisirs (CNPL), otherwise known as the Clermont-Ferrand Fishing Show, took place on January 19, 20 and 21, 2024. Unfortunately, this year's event was marked by the absence of a number of major brands. Kerfil, which is in the process of developing its range of fishing tackle, will be offering a substantial range of rods, reels, lures, hooks and accessories in 2024. It has chosen to take the opposite approach to absent brands by exhibiting its entire range. A successful gamble that attracted a large number of visitors who were delighted to discover its new products, sold on site by Pecheur.com.
A strong comeback for Mustad
Mustad is a world-renowned hook manufacturer. Today, one in four hooks in the world is made by Mustad, a brand present in 160 countries. The Norwegian brand, born in 1832, is back with a vengeance on the French market.

Kerfil has taken over distribution of the famous hook brand at a time when Mustad is strengthening its range. This synergy of growth between the two players has produced a convincing result. Kerfil distributes the entire Mustad range, which includes hooks, rods, technical swimfish, jigs, spinnerbaits, braids, small accessories, pliers and luggage.
LiveTarget: innovative, highly realistic decoys
Also new from Kerfil is the LiveTarget brand of ultra-realistic soft lures and swimbaits. The complete range includes swimbaits for pike, a crayfish for targeting perch and black-bass, minnows and shads for pike-perch or bass, and original lures for handling on water lilies: a mouse and two frogs...
By the way, these two original frogs with a hard body and soft spring-mounted elastomer legs caught the attention of visitors throughout the 3-day show. They were probably one of the best-selling products on the Pecheur.com stand at CNPL 2024.

The brand's hallmarks are the quality of its finish, in particular the double-injection soft lures featuring ITV (Injected Core Technology), and the use of Mustad hooks.
Banax, an astonishing range of reels
The absence of other reel manufacturers from the CNPL 2024 gave Banax a high profile that it would not normally have enjoyed. This brand, little-known in Europe, comes from a Korean manufacturer that is a leader in its home country. The quality of the products, the original technologies and the prices immediately arouse the curiosity of anglers. In fact, spinning and baitcasting reels are packed with technologies that enhance both fluidity and power.

Depending on the product, you'll find the noisemaker pawl on baitcasting reels, custom cranks supplied with the reel, packaging in a padded case or a braid power adjustment knob for perfect winding. Small details that are rare, if not unheard of, while guaranteeing an attractive price. This is the strength of a manufacturer with its own factories and technologies.

Kerfil also presented its shads developed by Yvon Houssais for bass and pollack fishing, with new products for pike. The stand also featured Tica reels and Jatsui jigs and Eging rods. This 2024 edition of the CNPL undoubtedly benefited the few fishing tackle brands present. A successful bet for Kerfil.
