A packed line-up and a tried-and-tested format
Sixty teams lined up at the start of this 2026 edition, competing in a now well-established format: two sea legs, contested respectively on Saturday and Sunday. Each day begins with a briefing at 7 a.m., before the flotilla departs at 7:45.
The results bear witness to the activity on the water: 255 bass caught within the quota, for an average size of 53.95 cm and a total of 13,757 cm measured. All the fish were returned to the water in good condition, in line with the event's commitment to sustainable fishing practices.
A tight podium
At the top of the rankings, the hierarchy was decided by a narrow margin.
Team RAPALA / CRUSHCITY wins with 604 points. For their second participation, Benoit Belliot, Logan Qrd and Simon Joly built their victory on two regular runs and a precise reading of the conditions.

In second place with 594 points, the FISHUS TEAM also confirmed its potential. Their strategy, based on fine fishing in shallow water, paid off. The Espetit Soft Jerk (OS color) and Espetit Sandeel 120 (Ayu and Clear Eel) lures were decisive throughout the weekend. With 301 points on Saturday and 294 on Sunday, consistency made all the difference.
The podium was completed by the BENABAR team (578 points), the only non-brand-affiliated team in the top three. Twelfth at the end of the first round, its members made a remarkable comeback on Sunday.
Summer conditions and technical fishing
The weekend took place in summer-like weather, with plenty of sunshine, warmth and virtually no wind. Pleasant conditions, but demanding for the competitors.
With a low tidal range, currents were limited and the water not very rough, making the fish wary. In this context, fine approaches were the order of the day: small soft lures, discreet animations and light lines. This ability to adapt clearly distinguished the leading teams.
Transmission and collective dynamics
Beyond the competition, Sailtica Fishing continues its commitment to transmission. The Open Kids, organized on Saturday morning under the coordination of Alexis Chatelain (Flashmer), enabled young anglers to discover sea fishing in a safe, supervised environment.
The success of the event also relies on the involvement of volunteers. The race stewards, present at sea to measure the catches and ensure their release, play an essential role in the smooth running of the event.
At the head of the organization, Patrice Lucas continues to embody the DNA of Sailtica Fishing. Since its creation in 2013 in Pornichet, the event has gone from strength to strength to become a benchmark on the circuit.

Committed partners
The event relies on a network of loyal partners, led by Mercury Marine. The American engine manufacturer, strongly represented on the water, confirms its involvement beyond simple sponsorship.
On a local level, Loïc Fradet, head of Mecapresta, is responsible for Mercury representation and service. A specialist in naval maintenance, he is the link between the event and the regional nautical fabric.
Many other players also support Sailtica Fishing: Garmin, Gunki, Flashmer, Gemini Marine, Navionics, Kerfil, Interdist, Grand Pavois Fishing and Comptoir de la Mer.
Setting course for 2027
On the strength of this successful 13th edition, Sailtica Fishing is already looking to the future. Preparations are underway for the 14th edition, with exchanges to come with the commune of La Turballe to further anchor the event locally.
