The 2025 edition of the Carrefour National Pêche et Loisirs de Clermont took place from January 17 to 19, 2025, with 11,540 visitors. With visitor numbers down, will there still be a fishing show in Clermont in 2026?

The Carrefour National Pêche et Loisirs de Clermont is a not-to-be-missed event for fishing enthusiasts, organized for over thirty years by Centre France Événements. Unfortunately, the event has lost its aura over the years.

Whose fault is it?

The members of Gifap (Groupement de l'Industrie Françaises d'Articles de Pêche) decided to create their own show in Nantes in the spring of 2025, but did not wish to participate in CNPL 2025. The "big brands" of fishing tackle were therefore absent, an absence which contributed greatly to the lack of interest among passionate anglers in strolling the aisles of the Clermont show.

What's more, just a few days earlier, a fishing trade show was being held in nearby Vichy... In other words, the Carrefour National Pêche et Loisirs 2025 could not match the record numbers of previous years.

Feedback from visitors and exhibitors

Most visitors to this year's show knew what to expect. And many had made the trip to meet or simply listen to the star of the show, Cyril Chauquet. Numerous youtubers were also present. Enough to attract a new generation of anglers who live their passion through their screens.

As for the various exhibitors at the 2025 show, they were undoubtedly able to benefit from longer and more precise exchanges with visitors, thanks to greater and easier proximity. The return of the giant pool also enabled the brands present to showcase their latest innovations.

A fishing show in Clermont in 2026?

The days when it was difficult to pass each other in the aisles and get to the most eagerly-awaited stands seem to be slipping away... However, the Carrefour National Pêche et Loisirs de Clermont team is already looking forward to seeing you again in 2026. This is good news for all fishing enthusiasts, who will be able to choose from a number of shows across France.
