For you, fishing should allow you to move around the water, so you should opt for one of the following techniques. Lure fishing, fly fishing or toc, different techniques to know.

Lure fishing

Lure fishing is probably the most popular fishing technique among sport fishing enthusiasts. Lure fishing consists of trying to lure fish with imitations of potential prey (small fish, various insects and crustaceans).

This technique is mainly aimed at the search for carnivorous fish likely to feed on moving prey. The equipment to practice lure fishing is simple, a casting rod, a reel filled with wire or braid and some lures.

There are many types of lures, but they can be categorized into two main families: hard lures and soft lures. The hard lures include all the lures that we call swimming fish, they are imitations of fish that are animated to make predatory fish react. The family of soft lures includes all the lures more or less flexible. They can imitate fish, worms, insects or crustaceans. These flexible lures must also be in motion to trigger fish attacks.

Fly fishing

Fly fishing is probably the most noble and complicated technique to practice when you are a beginner. But as in any practice, you have to start one day. It is not necessary to draw arabesques in the air with your fly to be able to touch fish. There are techniques that are easier to implement than others when you decide to start fly fishing.

The equipment needed for fly fishing consists of a specific fly rod, a reel adapted to this rod, a line that acts as a line body, a nylon or fluorocarbon leader and a fly mounted on a hook. Most of the time, fly fishermen use imitation flies that they make themselves, but that can also be easily found in the shops.

Fishing with toc

Bait fishing is a fishing technique most often practiced in rivers and streams in search of trout. This technique consists in presenting a bait or an imitation to the fish in a natural way.

The fishing line is leaded lightly or more intensely depending on the strength of the current so that the bait seems to drift naturally with the water. It is a technique that requires a rather basic equipment, a rod with rings, a small reel filled with nylon or fluorocarbon, some small weights and a hook. Earthworms, moths or other wood holders are the main baits used for fishing with the toc.
