Grand Pavois Fishing 2026: A Bountiful Catch

The Grand Pavois Fishing 2026 announced its results in La Rochelle. After two rounds contested in the Pertuis d?Antioche, the Nowe 2 crew?composed of Antoine Rondineau, Medhy Lechene, and Jimmy Guilbert?claimed victory with 539 points. It was a particularly productive tournament, with 138 sea bass of legal size counted and released back into the water.

34 teams at the start and 138 mesh bars

Organized as part of the Grand Pavois La Rochelle, the Grand Pavois Fishing 2026 brought together 34 brand teams for two mornings of competition. The heats, held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., took place under favorable weather conditions, with generally calm seas in the Pertuis d'Antioche.

The fish were out in force as well. In total, A total of 138 mesh bars were recorded , compared to 88 in 2025. With a minimum size limit set at 42 cm for the competition, the catches totaled 6,729 points, or 67.29 meters of sea bass. The average size was 50.54 cm. All fish were released back into the water as quickly as possible. The record for this year?s event went to Nowe 1 with a superb sea bass measuring 77 cm caught on a floating lure .

Nowe 2 takes the lead right from the first lap

On Friday, the competitors quickly divided their strategies between the fishing areas on Île de Ré and those on Île d?Oléron. Bottom fishing, casting, soft lures, jerkbaits, or floating lures: the diversity of the fishing areas allowed for a wide range of approaches.

While working along the coastline of the Île de Ré, Nowe 2 caught five bars measuring 68, 67, 61, 49, and 48 cm . With 293 points, Antoine Rondineau, Medhy Lechene, and Jimmy Guilbert won the first round ahead of Mercury Pro Team (257 points) and Nowe 1 (233 points).

The second round proved to be even more productive. Suzuki Fishing Team 1 , consisting of Sébastien Mongruel, Jérôme Taboulet, and Sébastien Gaillard, posted the day?s best performance with five fish totaling 318 points. Navicom Crew 2 took second place with 299 points, ahead of MMG Bateaux %E2euros%93 Searibs with 270 points.

Nowe 2 Wins the 2026 Grand Pavois Fishing Tournament

Thanks to his consistent performance and, above all, two quotas met over the weekend, Nowe 2 wins the 2026 competition with 539 points . The Suzuki Fishing Team 1 finished second with 503 points, while Fargo Boatworks , led by Jérémie Steyaert, John Peronnet, and Elie Freu, rounded out the podium with 401 points.
