Held as part of the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle from September 22 to 27, the Grand Pavois Fishing is a special event on the offshore sportfishing calendar. The event brings together teams representing boat brands, engine manufacturers, electronics manufacturers, and fishing tackle companies. For 2026, the organizers had a full field with 35 brand teams , in addition to two teams from partner competitions.
Two rounds to determine the winner
The competition consists of two half-days of bass fishing with lures, and all fish must be released. Competitors will fish primarily in the Pertuis Rochelais, with the organizers designating different areas depending on weather conditions.
And the 2026 edition is shaping up to be a particularly hard-fought contest.
NOWE 2 came out swinging right from the first round. With 293 points, the team has taken the lead in the competition. Behind them, Mercury Pro Team also got off to an excellent start with 257 points, ahead of NOWE 1 with 233 points.
The second round partially reshuffles the deck. Suzuki Fishing Team 1 posted the best performance with 318 points , ahead of Navicom Crew 2 with 299 points and MMG Bateaux %E2euros%93 Searib's with 270 points.
But NOWE 2 doesn't falter. Its 246 additional points allow it to maintain a sufficient lead to clinch the overall victory.
NOWE 2 wins with 539 points
With 539 total points , NOWE 2 has thus won the 2026 Grand Pavois Fishing. Consistency proved to be the deciding factor: first in the first race and then sixth in the second, the team retains 36-point lead on the Suzuki Fishing Team 1.
Second with 503 points , Suzuki may particularly regret a lackluster first race, in which he scored 185 points. His stunning victory in the second race, however, allowed him to close in on the winners.
Third place goes to Fargo Boatworks with 401 points . This performance drew particular attention, as the Fargo 31?a catamaran developed by Pescavel in Oléron?was among the major new releases showcased at this year?s Grand Pavois.
Mercury Gemini finished just off the podium with 396 points, only five points behind Fargo Boatworks. Navicom Crew 2 rounded out the top five with 342 points.

This victory by NOWE 2 follows that of Yamaha ProFishing 3 in 2025 , which had won the previous edition with 520 points. Interestingly, NOWE 2 had finished fifth at the time with 293 points. A year later, the La Rochelle team moved up several spots and added its name to the list of winners of the Grand Pavois Fishing 2026 .
