Hiroshi Takahashi
Even before presenting the Trefle Création range of lures, which will be distributed in France by the Flashmer group, it's important to get to know the brand's creator so as to understand immediately that these are technical products, designed for fishing with efficiency and quality in mind.
Hiroshi Takahashi, who has created his own lure brand and range, is well known in the fishing world for having developed numerous lures for predator fishing in the past, notably in collaboration with Seji Kato.
For a long time, he designed lures for the Lucky Craft range, before moving on to Illex, where he was responsible for a number of successes, including the famous Freddy for pike anglers and the Bonnie for sea bass.
Finally, he recently developed Storm's Gomoku range, aimed at offering a series of technical lures at an affordable price.
Given Hiroshi Takahashi's experience as a lure designer and the number of successes he has achieved, the creation of his own brand is a logical evolution, a guarantee of seriousness and competence and the promise of quality products.
Lures designed for the sea
Trefle Création's products have been developed primarily for the Suzuki, which is none other than the Japanese sea bass (Lateolabrax japonicus). These lures were therefore designed for "sea" use and for a species very similar to the one we know in France. Hiroshi Takahashi has developed his range with the constraints of sea fishing in mind. In other words, lures that hold up well in rough water and have favorable aerodynamic properties, but also with swims, colors and sounds conducive to catching sea bass.
This is a complete range designed specifically for one of our most popular species. But there's no doubt that other predators, also from freshwater, will be sensitive to Trefle Création lures.
Articulated decoys
All the lures offered today by Trefle création are articulated in 2 or 3 parts, even those with bibs, more commonly known as swimbaits because of their specific swimming action.
It's a decision taken by Hiroshi, who has shown us in the past his taste and knowledge of this type of lure, and which responds to an empty segment on the French market in the range of marine-oriented lures. There can be no doubt, then, that this is a real novelty with no competition on the shelves of fishing stores, and soon to be in anglers' tackle boxes.
Genuine innovations
All articulated lures on the market have the same drawback, namely that they feather (sideways!) when cast, thus considerably reducing the distances reached. Hiroshi Takahashi has therefore integrated a mass transfer system into the terminal part, but not only... He has also developed a piston system that locks the joint during casting, allowing the lure to behave like a one-piece model during this phase. Having tested it, I can certify that the distances reached are truly considerable, all the more so as the models developed have a favorable size/weight ratio.
The different models
To date, 2 references from the range have appeared on the French market, namely the Mirage, a lipless swimbait available in 2 sizes (128 and 161 mm), and the Rafale, an articulated jerk minnow also available in 2 sizes (79 and 93 mm).
To complete the picture, these lures are available in a wide range of complementary and particularly successful colors (6 to 10 colors depending on the model).
