Weekly material / Edge Rods, the American rods land on the European market

The fishing rod market in France sees new brands appearing over the years. In 2023, it's the turn of Edge Rods, which is nothing more nor less than the mounted version of the famous North Fork Composite blanks designed by Gary Loomis himself.

Edge Rods is a brand of fishing rods already well known and established across the Atlantic. Previously reserved for the American market, these rods are now available for sale throughout Europe and of course in France. The most experienced anglers already know the quality of these products which were previously reserved for rodbuilders.

Edge Rods are nothing less than the mounted version of the NFC (North Fork Composite) blanks favored by the vast majority of rodbuilders around the world. It was only natural that Gary Loomis, a world legend in rod design, decided to design a ready-to-use series for the international market.

These rods are not only designed by Gary Loomis, but also assembled one by one by hand in his own factory.

A true US identity

The brand itself and the series of rods offered are typical of the US market, in the sense that the design is much more refined than the Japanese competitors. In total agreement with the philosophy of American fishermen, these rods are designed above all to be functional and to meet a specific need and use. Gary Loomis has, in this sense, emphasized the notion of "tool" when designing these lines.

The US market covers all the modern techniques of black-bass fishing and the Edge Rods series as well. But the different ranges have been designed to meet the requirements of French anglers whether in the sea or in fresh water. The aficionados of perch, bass or pike will find the tool that suits their practice perfectly in terms of length, power and action.

Full carbon

A tool above all, but a very assertive look, identifiable and unique on the market. In a concern of effectiveness, but also of modernity and aesthetics, the assemblies gather a very great number of carbon elements which confers them lightness and efficiency.

Hand-picked blanks

The Edge Rods line is based on a thorough analysis of the blanks favored by American and European rodbuilders. It's hard to go wrong, because the best-selling North Fork Composite blanks were chosen as the basis for the design of each series of the brand. The selected blanks are proven and recognized for many years on all the water bodies of the world.
