Promoting float-tube fishing
The event follows on from the first edition, launched in 2025, which already featured a very modern format: no-kill, course control, digital catch feedback and a strong emphasis on float-tube fishing. This first edition attracted over 60 competitors and confirmed anglers' interest in a major national event dedicated to carnivorous fish.
For 2026, the organization wanted to evolve the formula after a first test year. Registration opened at the end of March, and several communications from the FFPS already indicated strong interest from competitors.
In terms of sporting content, the Master Cup retains the DNA of a technical event: float-tube fishing, fine reading of the water, searching for pike, zander, perch and black-bass, with sectors requiring strategy and adaptation. Lac de Vioreau offers an interesting setting for this type of competition, with a real level of demand for anglers.
