Reactivity
Despite uncertain weather conditions at the start of the weekend, the organizers were able to react quickly. The Saturday morning round was moved to the afternoon, a decision welcomed by all participants for its relevance in terms of safety and fairness. It proved to be a wise choice, with clear conditions enabling crews to make the most of the areas of the Golfe du Morbihan, followed the next day by more open sectors towards Hoëdic.
The competition, dedicated to sea bass, took place under a strict no-kill format, with all net-caught fish returned to the water. An approach that is now unavoidable, in line with current resource preservation issues.
A high level
The sporting level was particularly high. Between mastering drifts, selecting lures and reading positions, crews had to refine their strategies. On Saturday, 92 fish were recorded for 48 teams, with an average size of 50.2 cm. On Sunday, 71 measures were taken by 49 crews, with an average size up to 53.1 cm. In all, 163 fish were caught and released, with larger specimens on the second day.

The GREGawen team, made up of Ewen, Gabriel and Grégoire, was particularly impressive, scoring the "Big Fish" of the weekend with an 83 cm bar, a symbol of the area's fishing potential and the technical level of the competitors.
A beautiful spirit
Beyond the results, Crouesty Fishing stands out for its spirit. The diversity of profiles (seasoned competitors, amateurs and families) nurtures a dynamic of sharing and transmission, reinforced by the many opportunities for exchange on the sidelines of the rounds.
The success of this edition also relies on the involvement of strong partners, including Yamaha and the Compagnie des Ports du Morbihan, as well as the support of committed local players such as the Bluefin Atlantique Club and the Club de Pêche de la Presqu'île de Rhuys.
Building on this success, the event is already looking ahead to a fourth edition. Pre-registration should open at the next Mille Sabords show, at the end of October 2026.
In just three years, Crouesty Fishing has established itself as a key event in the Grand Ouest region, combining sporting excellence, environmental commitment and team spirit.
