A must-attend event
Over the years, the PSL Open has established itself as a benchmark competition. Registrations are still going very quickly, proof of the growing interest in this event.
This year, registration will open on May 4 at 7 pm sharp. Don't miss it!

This success is based on a solid organization and a highly committed team of volunteers, who work all year round to offer participants optimal conditions. The friendly atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff are clearly part of the competition's DNA.
An exceptional setting for bass fishing
Morlaix Bay offers a remarkable diversity of fishing spots. Between shallow areas, oyster beds, strong currents and rocky plateaus further offshore, every angler can exploit different strategies.
This richness means that the competition can be approached with a wide variety of techniques. The density of bars in the area makes it particularly attractive.
Autumn remains the ideal time to target this fish, which is often very active at this time of year. Last year's edition confirmed the richness of the area, with over 520 bars measured during the weekend of competition.

Preparing for the season's outings
Like every year, preparation plays a key role. The scouting phases, often referred to as "prefishing", are necessary to prepare for this competition in the best possible conditions.

They will take place throughout the season, with more regular outings in the days leading up to the competition. The aim will be to find out exactly how active the fish are at any given moment. Everyone knows that things can change very quickly.
Objective: consistency and performance
The competition is based on a simple but demanding principle: catch a quota of 5 mesh bass each day. Every centimetre counts (1 cm = 1 point) and only the 5 longest bars are counted.
At the end, the total of the two runs is added together to decide the winner. Each team will have to make the right choices, adjust its strategies and remain consistent throughout the heats.

The fishing is bound to be different from the rest of the season. The pressure exerted by other crews will have an impact on fish behavior, especially on Sundays after a full day's fishing in the area the day before. A number of strategies will therefore be required to succeed in this competition.
