The second edition of the Junior Fishing Tour (JFT) has already established itself as an essential national event for young anglers under the age of 18. The fruit of a partnership between the Fédération Nationale de la Pêche en France (FNPF), the Fédération Française des Pêches Sportives (FFPS) and GIFAP, the JFT offers two circuits: the "JFT Coup" (strike fishing) and the "JFT Leurres" (shore fishing for predators), each organized into Junior and Espoir categories according to age.

A new season

This new season has widened its scope, with over 300 rounds scheduled in 82 departments, and a growing number of participants, following an already well-attended first edition (over 1,500 participants in 2024/25). The principle is simple: each young person can take part in local departmental qualifying rounds, and then win the title of Champion(ne) of their department. The best competitors then advance to regional finals, before hoping to qualify for the eagerly-awaited national finals, where the title of Champion(ne) de France is awarded in each age category and speciality.âeuros

Two circuits

The JFT Lures circuit focuses specifically on fishing for predators with artificial lures, with almost 180 rounds in 2025/26 for 10-17 year-olds and growing success. The JFT Coup, for spearfishing, is also proving remarkably popular, with events, on-site entertainment and prizes donated by the leading brands grouped together under the GIFAP umbrella. Alongside the competitions, events such as target casting competitions, association villages and fun activities are offered, promoting conviviality, sharing and technical progress.âeuros

Un succès croissant.
A growing success.

The Junior Fishing Tour stands out for its openness to all young anglers, whatever their level, in a spirit that combines confrontation, emulation and the transmission of the values of fishing in France. This dynamic collective contributes to the emergence of new vocations, the learning of techniques and the promotion of the associative network throughout the country.
