Who's concerned?

All recreational anglers at sea, aged 16 and over, who explicitly target these species on the Atlantic, Channel and North Sea façades, are subject to annual registration and daily declaration of their catches.âeuros

How it works

Registration is done via the RecFishing application, accessible before any fishing action, and is valid for one year.âeuros

The app is compatible with Android (7.0+) and iOS (15.1+), works offline, and allows daily catch reporting, including photo recognition or choice of common species name.âeuros

Until 2030, priority will be given to education and awareness-raising, with no immediate sanctions, but controls and corrective measures may be provided for in the event of repeated breaches.âeuros
