Test / Axopar 29 CCX, a design in the direct line of the brand's other models

Sunset with the new Axopar 29 CCX

The Axopar 29 CCX takes familiar Axopar lines and benefits from a new hull designed for performance. It is also conceived as a very versatile boat, which is reflected in its design as we see in this first part.

The idea behind the 29 CCX was to create a versatile, modular, seaworthy and fast open hull. Concepts that the Finnish shipyard has mastered quite well, since in its 10 years of existence, Axopar has become one of the finest success stories in boating.

The first central console from Axopar

The 29 is the brand's first model to enter the center console market, a segment in which not only the Americans have a strong presence, but also a number of renowned European brands, starting with Jeanneau.

Axopar's style is immediately recognizable. A hull with taut lines and limited freeboard, a straight bow and, as a bonus, a hull with two large steps. The shipyard's aim was also to build a relatively light hull that doesn't necessarily need excessive power to perform.

As usual at Axopar, the 29 is available in several versions, three to be exact. The CCX features a central console protected by a large windscreen and a small T-top, while the Sun Top has a slightly modified console and a much longer T-top. The Cross Cabin, meanwhile, benefits from a true enclosed wheelhouse.

An adventurous look

The inverted windshield, side windows and small, forward-leaning T-Top are undoubtedly this boat's visual signature. A somewhat unusual profile in the world of center consoles, but especially effective for outings in bad weather, as both pilot and co-pilot are well sheltered. To underline the adventurous aspect of the boat, the 29 CCX features a light bar on the roof and a solar panel. Elements that can be extensively customized.

As with the brand's other models, the bow ends in a slightly squarer shape to increase space on board and accommodate an anchor locker. Finally, the stern ends in two large bathing platforms to facilitate access for swimming or boarding.

A modern look that will appeal to adventure lovers.
