Grand Pavois Fishing : Mercury Pro Team

Jean Servant and Benjamin Duval will represent the Mercury Pro Team at Grand Pavois Fishing 2024 for the fourth year running. Jean and Benjamin will be accompanied by Tanguy Marlin, a leading figure in French sport fishing.

An unmissable event

Jean Servant, a state-certified fishing guide for the past ten years and Mercury ambassador since 2016, he offers modern, fun fishing trips for all levels. He operates mainly in renowned areas of the Bassin d'Arcachon known for their wealth of fish such as bass, meagre, pollack and bluefin tuna.

"It's a great source of pride for me to once again wear the Mercury colors alongside Benjamin and Tanguy. I hope we'll climb to the top of the podium after two days of intense fishing," says Jean Servant.

Benjamin Duval a sport sea angler and Mercury brand ambassador, is preparing to take part in the prestigious Grand Pavois Fishing for the fourth time. For him, this event marks the end of his competition season at sea, after the Fécamp Open bar at the beginning of September and the Le Havre Open bar which was finally cancelled due to weather conditions.

"The Grand Pavois Fishing remains an unmissable event for me every year. Being part of the Mercury Pro Team at such an event is always a source of pride. This year, I'm coming with big ambitions, and I hope to reach at least the podium, but my ultimate goal remains first place," says Benjamin Duval.

A distinguished guest

Jean and Benjamin will be joined by Tanguy Marlin, a leading figure in French sport fishing, renowned for his lure fishing skills.

Tanguy Marlin, product manager at Sert/Sakura, where he plays a key role in the development of new lures and fishing equipment, will be taking part in Grand Pavois Fishing for the first time.

Originally from Paris, Tanguy developed a passion for lure fishing as a teenager. Influenced by major figures in French sport fishing, such as Hiroshi, Thierry Cloux and Michel Tarragnat, Tanguy is a seasoned competitor, taking part in numerous fishing tournaments and competitions.

Passionate about sharing and passing on his know-how, Tanguy regularly contributes articles and interviews for specialist magazines. He is also known for his numerous victories, notably in competitions organized by the Fishing Club. He recently won the first edition of the Live Fishing Challenge, representing the Garmin brand with Valentin Martin.

With an exceptional boat

The three sport fishermen will be present at Grand Pavois Fishing 2024 with Jean Servant's brand-new Pandion 3, a 10-meter semi-rigid designed by Ribwest naval architect Vincent Duchatelet. This innovative boat embodies excellence in navigation and fishing, powered by two Mercury V10 5.7L outboard engines, each rated at 350 hp.

Yann Diquerreau we're delighted to continue our adventure with Jean and Benjamin, who have represented the Mercury Pro Team at Grand Pavois Fishing for several years. We're also delighted to welcome such an experienced angler as Tanguy to the team. We're convinced that this trio will enable the brand to shine in this competition, especially as they'll be aboard a magnificent boat that's sure to be one of the finest on the line-up."
