Mercury Marine France signs new partnership with L'Open Bar du Havre

Mercury Marine France has forged a new partnership with organizers of sport fishing competitions at sea. This time, Mercury Marine France has joined forces with the LH Fishing association, responsible for the Le Havre Open Bar.

Founded in 2020, LH Fishing aims to promote sport fishing with lures while preserving the marine ecosystem. The Le Havre Open Bar, organized since the association was founded, is now in its 4th year.

The Le Havre Open Bar, which sold out in less than a week with no fewer than 63 boats registered, will take place on September 6, 7 and 8, 2024, departing from the port of Le Havre.

Erwan Devaux, secretary of the LH Fishing association, comments: "We'll be staying at around 60 teams every year. We don't want more boats because the fishing pressure would be too great. The watchword is to have fun and make the participants have fun. As a reminder, last year over 500 bass were measured by the stewards. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again, and have once again prepared some great surprises thanks to the event's various partners, including Mercury Marine. We look forward to seeing you on Friday, September 6, from 2 p.m. for the launch

The organizers have added a Streetfishing date in the Le Havre basins, allowing youngsters to take part in the competition. After a successful third edition last June with some 50 participants, the association is aiming for 70 participants next year.

A new partnership

Yann Diquerreau, Marketing Manager for Mercury Marine France, comments: "Mercury France is very active in the fishing sector this year, with the establishment of a second partnership with a local association organizing a sea-fishing competition. This is excellent news for Mercury Marine, which will increase its visibility in Normandy. We're joining forces with our local representative, Brice Vandewoestyne from Atelier du Plaisancier, a Mercury dealer in Fécamp, and our ambassador Benjamin Duval."

Benjamin Duval, sport sea angler in Seine-Maritime and Mercury ambassador, once again played a key role in initiating this new partnership. He says: "When Yann Diquerreau told me he wanted to increase the brand's involvement in competitive sea fishing, I immediately thought of putting him in touch with LH Fishing. As a fan of the brand and a competitor in my region, I saw a real communication opportunity for Mercury in Seine-Maritime, as well as a reputable support for the organizers."
