The river, its flies, its trout and those who fish it
In this book, Vincent Lalu shares his passion with us, giving us the opportunity to experience some intense and tasty moments on the banks of rivers. The riffle is the magical place where the river's heart beats. The lives of many fishermen depend on the riffle. It's where great fishing stories begin. "Les enfants du radier" chronicles this singular community where river, insects and aquatic larvae, fish and fishermen make up a lovely family whose generations follow and resemble each other. Les enfants du radier" is the third episode in a saga that began with "Le sorcier de Vesoul" and continued with "La femme truite".

A huge turnaround overhung by a canopy of fir, hardwood, ash and spruce trees, where the gobies seem to respond to the winks the moon sends them when it's in the right mood..."
