Banax is an internationally renowned brand, founded in 1973 in South Korea. With 50 years' experience in the manufacture of fishing tackle, Banax now works as an integrator for the most renowned brands, whether in the reel or rod sector. Korea's high standards and quality standards are now widely recognized in fields as varied as electronics and automobiles, where they have succeeded in imposing their philosophy. Banax occupies a prominent place in the Korean domestic market, having capitalized on their R&D efforts to offer high-performance, fluid and reliable products.
Controlled manufacturing processes
Banax has two production sites, one in Korea near Seoul, where the brand's technological resources are concentrated. All top-of-the-range products, rods and reels, are manufactured here. The site has its own laboratory and test bench, and rods and reels are subjected to a series of tests to check product quality at every stage.
To remain competitive in the mid-range and entry-level segments, the company has a second foothold in China, on the other side of the Yellow Sea in Weihai. Reduced costs do not mean reduced quality, and the two factories work together to offer mid-range products with some of the components manufactured in Korea and assembled in Weihai. This geographical specificity enables Banax to offer an extremely comprehensive range at very attractive prices.

Korean demands
Fluidity, comfort and strength are more than just words to us anglers. These are the elements that Banax seeks to provide, whatever the techniques you employ.
Banax offers a spinning range at prices from ?50 to ?400. The entry-level Zargon model sets the tone with its aggressive look, while the quality feel in the hand reassures the user from the very first seconds. It's this experience of Korean excellence that Banax extends throughout its range, with flagship models such as the Lotan and the Hades Pro.
At the very top of the spinning reel spectrum are the Volante and Ionix, featuring the very latest technology from the Korean firm. The user experience begins when you unpack these reels, which come with a carrying case, and ends at the water's edge, where their technical and technological qualities will never cease to delight you. Ceramic bearings and rollers, carbon composite rotors, high-precision gear machining - the list goes on and on, but it's easy to forget and just enjoy the fluidity and comfort.
The casting range is not to be outdone, with reels designed for baitcasting, once again available in various models from the Zest to the Apollo, with budgets ranging from ?80 to ?350. Technology is once again at the forefront, with the Infinite Cast Control System, for example, allowing intuitive adjustment of the inertia brake, or the Conical Guide Line, a tapered line guide system that increases casting distance by reducing line friction.
Local distribution
Kerfil is the brand's exclusive importer for France, and today offers a selection of reels to cover the majority of French anglers' needs, whatever their budget constraints. To ensure quality service, the company keeps a stock of spare parts on its premises in Guengat (Département 29).
