On Saturday June 24 and Sunday June 25, the Open des Glénan, a national bass fishing competition, took place in the Glénan archipelago off Fouesnant in Finistère. It's a prestigious site with a wide variety of biotopes: sand, rock and seaweed. The shore village was located at Port-La-Forêt in the commune of La Forêt-Fouesnant.

127 crews
127 crews of two anglers took part in the 12th edition of the Open des Glénan. Competitors came from the west of France, but also from all over France (Ile de France, Nord, Moselle, Jura, Savoie, Vaucluse, Puy de Dôme, etc. ).

443 fish caught
A total of 443 fish were measured by the event stewards and released in accordance with the "no kill" mode. The biggest fish, a 75-centimeter sea bass, was caught on Saturday by the "Sole Fishing" crew of Gwénal Le Saux from Trégunc (29) and Sébastien Lagadec from Chamonix.

The podium
First and winners of the Open des Glénan 2023, the "Team les portuguais" crew, made up of Ricardo and Carlos Da Silva from Quimper (29), caught a total of 524 centimetres over the two days (length added up by the fish measured by the stewards: the 5 biggest fish on Saturday and the 5 biggest fish on Sunday).
Second place went to the "Fish'n Friends" crew of Gauthier Le Gall and Olivier Rannou from Rosporden (29), with 492 centimetres of fish.
Third place went to the "Rodbuilder's Républic 1" crew, made up of Benjamin Le Provost from Cherbourg and Benoît Le Damany from Brest, with a total of 448 centimetres.

The first female of the event is Stéphanie Dupont from Pabu in the Côtes d'Armor, partnered by Yann Le Lagadec. The first young rider was Mael Vigot from Concarneau (29).
