I have tested... / The Master Shad, the new Fiiish 2025 that bars fear!

Every year brings its share of new products to tackle store shelves and anglers' tackle boxes. This season, Fiiish completes its range with a long-awaited product, a shad with a more paunchy profile designed for pull-pull fishing. Here's our review of the Master Shad!

Features

The Master Shad is a lure with a profile typical of shads designed for pull-pull fishing. Indeed, it is quite compact and bulbous and its rubber is particularly tonic to emit powerful vibrations. This is probably the same rubber used for the Crazy Paddle Tail, which is also designed for active fishing in the water.

Another similarity with the CPT is its inverted paddle, which enables rapid action on the descent, the phase in which 95% of bites occur when fishing with a pull. This is a very important feature to optimize results.

Finally, the hook, which may seem small at first glance, is housed in a slot (like the CPT) and therefore releases very easily when you strike, ensuring the effectiveness of your action. What's more, this slot ensures a longer life for your lure by preventing it from tearing during the fight, as is often the case with other lures.

Strong rolling and vibrations

When you first put the Master shad in the water, animate it and watch it evolve, you immediately notice the pronounced rolling action of its swimming action. It shows its flanks and oscillates generously around the longitudinal axis to show its flanks when pulling but also during descent phases.

Moreover, with a sensitive rod, you'll easily feel all the vibrations of your lure's paddle, which will enable you to adjust your animations and be sure to make it swim perfectly. When you know how much confidence in yourself and in your equipment plays a part in the success of an activity, feeling your lure swim is a real plus!

In traction of course, but not only!

The Master Shad has been designed for pull-pull fishing and Fiiish has made no mistake. During long pulls, the strong rolling and tonicity of its rubber displaces a large volume of water, making it easy to locate from a distance by sea bass present in the area. This makes it easy for the sea bass to move up into the water and intercept it during the descent phase, when it oscillates quietly but surely, showing its flanks.

But the interest of the Master Shad is not limited to this presentation. In fact, it's also very effective linearly, and once again helps to raise the bar in the water.

With the Master Shad, once I've made contact with the bottom, I don't hesitate to make 2-3 large, very lively pulls to emit powerful vibrations and arouse the curiosity of the bass present in the area, before starting a very slow line through the entire water column. This approach enabled me to trigger a large number of hits at the start of the season.

A wide, well-thought-out range

The Master Shad is currently available in 3 sizes and 3 associated weights, as well as 8 colors.

The 75 mm is perfect for fine edge fishing with lead heads ranging from 3 to 9 g, but will also be very effective for perch and trout fishing.

The 100 is the all-purpose model for sea bass fishing from shore or boat, and the choice of 8, 15 and 21 g lead heads means you can cover most of the spots you may encounter on your outings on foot or by boat.

Finally, the 125 mm is the size that allows you to select larger subjects and fish deeper or in large current veins, especially with its 36 g leaded head.

But the 14 g shore head is also an excellent choice for both shore and freshwater pike fishing! The Master Shad has not only been designed for the sea, but also for the easy installation of a treble hook with 360° mounting for excellent hooking on pike and limiting stalls.
