Hello Yannick, can you introduce yourself to Fishing.news readers?
Yannick Langlet -My name is Yannick Langlet (insta: happy__fishing) I'm 34 and I'm currently based in the Sarthe region. I fish almost exclusively the river and especially the public domain. I fish with float tube lures for perch, zander, pike and of course catfish.
I adapt my fishing to fish activity, the weather, water levels and the seasons. I refine my techniques according to the fish I'm after (surface lures, hard lures, soft lures, etc.). I love constantly learning new techniques, and in fishing there are always things to learn.
I'm very happy to be part of Team FishXplorer, which, beyond the brand, promotes values that are close to my own (innovation, sharing knowledge and our passion, transmission, ecology, etc.).

Can you tell us about your early days in fishing?
Yannick Langlet -Like a lot of people, I started out fishing roach with my dad, then trout, and then discovered perch and pike with a spoon. The idea of roaming very quickly caught my interest. Then I discovered the float-tube, which completely changed my way of fishing, giving me access to spots that were previously inaccessible from the shore.
I then perfected my fishing techniques to adapt to as many situations as possible. I can't talk about my beginnings without mentioning my father and my friends, with whom I spent some excellent moments of sharing.
When, how and why did you agree to become a Pro-Staff?
Yannick Langlet -I joined the brand in 2020 as an ambassador by chatting with Florian Langer (the brand's founder) on Instagram, with whom I immediately hit it off until I became Pro-Staff.
What I really enjoyed was being able to test products that were previously unavailable on the French market, such as lmab at the time, and then Monkey lures, Hostagevalley, etc... As well as participating in the creation of innovative fishing accessory products.

What does being an ambassador mean to you?
Yannick Langlet -The idea of sharing my opinion with a community and talking about the products we bring to the market is the real driving force behind my motivation. There's nothing nicer than getting a message from a beginner telling me that he's succeeded in making fish thanks to my advice. For me, being an ambassador is all about sharing. And that's exactly what you'll find at FishXplorer.
Let me give you a concrete example: if you have a question about how to use one of our lures or anything else, just take a quick look on Instagram and you'll have a whole team who can answer you, and very quickly! Of course, we can also advise you on fishing techniques.
Your fondest memory, or an anecdote, as a Pro-Staff to share with our readers
readers?
Yannick Langlet -Ah, I think that's going to come up a lot if you ask some of the Team. For me, the Clermont-Ferrand 2023 show is an incredible memory, because we all know each other more or less on the networks, but to see each other in real life and moreover, to meet our customers, our community and the fishermen in real life! It was truly magical. We had to work like crazy, but the result is there and the feedback has been more than positive!
What do you think of fishing in France?
Yannick Langlet -In French fishing, there's still a lot to be done, especially in terms of ecology. I also try to defend the magnificent catfish. Unfortunately, there are still people who demonize it, but who know absolutely nothing about this fish.
Generally speaking, young people are enthusiastic about fishing, and the development of sustainable fishing, and even no-kill fishing, augurs well for the future of our rivers, our fish and our passion.

Any advice for anglers who want to join a Pro-Staff team one day?
Yannick Langlet -You have to look beyond the brand: what will you bring to the table? What will the brand bring to you? And I'm not talking about lures or gifts. The most important thing is to join a brand or a company in which you fully identify with its values. The rest is up to you on the water!
