The Steez AGS range
The flagship of the Daiwa range, the Steez have always benefited from the latest technological innovations designed by the Japanese Daiwa factories. Very well known for black-bass fishing, the Steez range has been able to stand out thanks to several models created according to the types of lures most used.
Actions for rubber jig fishing, with a powerful blank that allows you to easily get the hook in and get a fish out of the cover. Also more parabolic actions such as the model designed for crankbait fishing, whose progressive and soft blank drastically reduces the chances of landing a fish. Power range 11-113 grams
To succeed in creating a rod with such a wide power range is not an easy task. Moreover, the lightness of the rod is quite surprising from the moment you have the opportunity to hold it in your hand. In order to allow this rod to cast a 11 gram chatterbait as well as a big swimbait of more than 100 grams, the work of a perfect blank taper was necessary.
At first glance, one notices the large diameter of the base of the blank above the handle. This diameter allows to create a blank with a very thin carbon thickness, inevitably able to undergo the strong compression of a cast with a heavy lure.
The other technologies of this cane
The Steez AGS range is not just about a specific blank for specific fishing techniques. The term AGS indicates the presence of carbon rings, which are extremely reasonable and offer a better transmission of information in the blank than conventional rings.
The Steez are also designed with strength in mind, while being lightweight. To achieve this, the resin used to bind the carbon fibers together is very specific. This resin, resulting from nanotechnology, penetrates much better through the carbon fibers which allows to use a smaller quantity while keeping the strength of a classic blank. Carbon fiber reinforcements, whose technology is called X45X, consists in applying, over the blank, layers of fiber at 45 degrees angles to increase the resistance to compression during powerful casts.
