Like all fishing, surfcasting can be approached in a very simple way. A leisure fishing, a fishing of any coming. With some axes which I could evoke you during a preceding article. A fishing of leisure which tends to go to seek beautiful fish. A fishing of waiting, but not only.
A practice that can quickly become very technical and fussy
Through my experience of the various World Championships, but also many competitions in France, I had the chance to acquire some knowledge. But this approach will target more a quantity of fish, often smaller than on a waiting fishing. It is not for all that the beautiful fish are excluded. We also touch some.
Specific assemblies
The rigs are specific to each region, or country, each fish or each season. Even if the bases remain the same, we adapt the diameters and the lengths of the stacks, but also the sizes of the hooks according to the elements encountered. Without forgetting the multitude of possibilities of adding floating pearls. From the heaviest and coarsest mounts to the lightest and finest mounts, the materials used should be targeted.
Different baits
The baits to use are also numerous. Between worms, shellfish, fish, shellfish, there is an embarrassment of riches. Throwing

The material
The rod and reel must be adapted to the technique. Therefore, we will use rods with a more sensitive touch detection and reels with nylon from 30/100 to 12/100 depending on the places and fishes we are looking for. Adaptation is still the key word in surfcasting.
