The advantages of baitfiness for trout
Baitfiness fishing has many advantages over spinning.
First of all, it allows ultra precise, controlled and soft casts. During the "flight" phase of the lure, it is possible to manage the speed of the lure by simply putting pressure on the spool and gradually slowing down the fall of the lure. This allows for delicate landings that do not arouse the suspicion of trout.
It is also a way to gain precision, which is essential when fishing small spots in streams.
The baitfiness also allows, due to the "winch" effect of the spool, to have more comfort and maneuverability with dense lures or pulling hard in the line, such as spinners and small swimmers.

The ultralight baitcasting offers the possibility of a rhythmic and very fast fishing to prospect effectively in river. With a simple pull of the trigger and one hand, it is possible to cast and reel almost without interruption.
In case of big fish and despite the fact that it is an ultra light set, the baitfiness combo allows you to better manage the fight with more power reserve and more possibility to restrain a nice fish that is going down.
The sensitivity is also increased compared to a spining set. You can feel the bites better and above all you can work the lure in an optimal way by keeping contact with the lure all the time.
Finally, it is not really a technical issue, but the sensations and the pleasure with this type of set are really multiplied by ten.
The disadvantages
Baitfishing for trout also has a few drawbacks, not the least of which are holding back most anglers from taking up the practice.
The first is the price of the reels. Most are high-end Japanese reels that are very capable of casting extremely light lures. But this is increasingly becoming a false argument. If 10 years ago a high performance baitfiness reel was worth at least 300 euros, it is now possible to find one for half that price.
The other weak point is the low limit of baitfiness. Below two grams, it's very tricky to use a casting set properly.

Finally, the last obstacle lies in the technical requirements of baitfiness. It is a gesture and a practice that can be acquired and allow to surpass spinning only with practice. At the beginning, there are a lot of mistakes and disappointments, but after that, baitfiness becomes formidable for those who know how to use it!
As you can see, the baitfiness is designed for passionate fishermen looking for new sensations and who want to progress and become more efficient in their search for salmonids.
