In this family from the South-West of France, we love fishing and inventions. Jean-François' father imagined a telescopic fishing rod with the line inside. In 1994, no rod manufacturer was convinced by the idea. Alternatively, he was offered production in China, which annoyed his inventor. The telescopic rod with the wire inside remains in a cellar.
It wasn't until 2009 that Jean-François Dupuy, encouraged by his father, took up the idea on his own. He undertook a study to assess the market, and realized that in the cane sector, there wasn't much innovation in use. Materials change, but not functionality. So he set about producing this famous telescopic cane with an internal thread: the Mosquetari was born.

To achieve this, he relies on a team of development engineers to solve the various problems encountered. After all, if the system works, it still needs to be made reliable and production feasible. After 3 years of study and testing, the first prototype is ready for industrialization.
Although the first rod he imagined was a jigging rod, Jean-François knew that it was with a casting rod that he would be able to convince everyone of the relevance of his invention. The first model therefore measures 2 m with 3 sections (and 70 cm when folded).

The magic of this rod lies in the 14 line guides inside. Thanks to them, the line is directed into the blank and glides along with great ease. Even with very light lures, casting is no problem at all. According to its inventor, even when the rod tip is wet, the line still spins well.
Rods with inner wire are notoriously difficult to thread. With the Mosquetari, there's no problem at all - it takes just 2 seconds to assemble. With the line inside, the rod offers excellent resonance, because the line is in the center of the blank. It transmits every touch.

The advantage of the line inside is also invaluable when transporting the rod, whether on a boat or in a car, as the line no longer gets caught everywhere. The same goes for fishing in tree-cluttered areas: no more leaves or branches caught in the rings. As for folding, it doesn't take more than 2 seconds either.
Tested by many anglers, this rod seems to meet with unanimous approval. We still have to test it to be really convinced. In terms of maintenance, every part of the rod can be dismantled, even though its designer admits that it requires no special care.

Today, Jean-François is ready to launch the series. In pre-order, the price of this rod will be around ?200. Enthusiasts will be able to find it on KickStarter from mid-December 2024.
