Canes
Kendoza rods are enriched by several new series:
- Trolling light series: rods designed for slow live-action trolling.
- Light spin series: rods also designed for slow trolling with a spinning reel.
- Trolling live Bait series: big game trolling and grazing rods with spiral guides.
- Trolling series: trolling and grazing rods with pulley ring assembly and bent butt.
All these rods are fitted from a Toray carbon blank, with sea guide guides for the first two series, Fuji guides for the Trolling live Bait series and Pacbay pulley guides for the last series.
Jigs
These EGI techniques are attracting more and more enthusiasts, and the 2026 range has been strengthened. I'd like to highlight a few models I tested at the end of last year.
The AURIE-Q CLOTH series is the descendant of the AURIE-Q series:
- Large AURIE-Q CLOTH sizes in 9, 10.5 and 12 cm.
- AURIE-Q CLOTH small sizes, in 4 and 6 cm.
- AURIE-Q CLOTH slow, in 12 cm with a slow descent of 5.5 s/m.
These jigs feature the latest technologies, such as identification feathers, UV reactive technology, phospho glow, neon flash, and more
AURIE-Q SEARCH double glow: in 9, 10 and 12 cm, with double phosphorescence emission, green and blue, covering a wider part of the light spectrum visible to cephalopods.
Three other series tested:
- The EGI EBI Q TR-TIPRUN: a fairly heavy 28g jig, also designed for casting from the shore, which worked very well on large cuttlefish.
- The AURIE-Q FINACE: in 12 cm, for use on board or aboard. In addition to the various technologies described above, it features stabilizing fins for a perfectly controlled descent.
- The ez-Q DARTMASTER RATTLE: this is my favourite for fishing turbid, loaded waters, like we had at the end of last year. In addition to the visual technologies it offers, the rattle is a real plus in turbid waters. Excellent results on big squid in these conditions.
Other series are also in the 2026 catalog, but I haven't tested them yet.
Soft lures
Big news for 2026 with the SNAKEEL sand eel range. Different sizes and weights, of course. From 6g and 135 mm to 90g and 230 mm, with all sizes and weights in between. It's a preassembled slug with head color matching the body.
The Shad version is called SUBTEEL, with weights ranging from 5 to 80g and lengths from 75 to 165 mm. Same material as the SNAKEEL, with matching head and body.
Swimming fish
Many new colors in existing series, such as Deep Diver, which I often quote in my session feedback or the Mag Speed.
New series too, especially from Trefle creation distributed by Flashmer. The 58 mm Maliera and 76 mm Fat Maliera are silent lipless minnows for long casts.
The 121 mm Trec'h is a silent sinking jerkbait designed for long casting distances. Ideal for educated fish.
