Protective accessories
If you've been fishing for any length of time, you've probably noticed that equipment is fragile. To ensure that your investment lasts as long as possible, it's important to protect your equipment. For rods, which can easily break if subjected to impact, there are rigid or flexible sheaths in which you can place one or more rods when transporting them.
There's a limit to the size of a rod sleeve, however, since a rod fitted with a reel takes up a lot of space inside. In this case, you can use what's known as a sock, which covers the upper part of the rod and protects the blank and rings. Reel covers are also available, mainly to prevent scratches and to store the crank if you wish to remove it from the reel.

Safety accessories
Fishing is a sport that can be dangerous, whether it's because of the hooks, the fish or the natural environment where you're fishing. Fishing is a passion that can make you forget the passage of time, and a headlamp will enable you to return from your night session in complete safety! As you probably know, wearing a lifejacket on a boat or kayak is compulsory, and strongly recommended on a float-tube.
From personal experience, I advise you to always have a pair of wire-cutting pliers close at hand, as hooks are often a source of problems, even when you're used to handling them. Whatever your boat, if you're going to tackle really big fish, always have a chisel or knife close at hand to potentially cut the line in case of trouble.

Lesser-known accessories
The sheer number of people involved in lure fishing has given rise to a host of problems, many of which have now been solved. There are a multitude of very specific, but very useful little tools among the various fishing techniques. For example, cephalopod fishermen use small brushes specially designed to clean the spines of a jig. Other fishermen use portable depth sounders that can be operated from the shore. In another example, special tools have been created to tie knots effortlessly.
All these accessories aim to make our fishing more effective and to spend as much time as possible in action, with a lure in the water, the best way to catch more fish.
