A friendly and athletic atmosphere

Under a clear blue sky, with bright sunshine and a light breeze, the third stage of the 2026 Suzuki Master Fishing took place in Noirmoutier, starting from the Port de l'Herbaudière. Organized by the Suzuki dealer Nowe Atlantique, the event brought together 36 fishing enthusiasts and ambassadors for a catch-and-release sea bass fishing competition. On July 4 and 5, 12 boats set out to sea in a friendly and competitive atmosphere, marked by good cheer and camaraderie. Among the participants, Suzuki Fishing ambassadors Sébastien Mongruel and Cédric Murat were on hand throughout the weekend.

There were plenty of catches

After the morning briefing, the crews cast off amid an already very warm and friendly atmosphere. The first day ended with a barbecue, a special time for competitors to reunite with their families, who had joined them on shore. On the water, the fishing was good on Saturday, notably featuring a beautiful 70-cm sea bass?the weekend?s record?released by the Bricoleurre team. On Sunday, conditions proved more challenging, and only half of the teams managed to catch sea bass.

Competition, camaraderie, and respect for the marine environment

At the end of this great competition, the Bricoleurre team took the podium, winning with 9 dropped bars and 511 points. Team Camael took second place with 9 dropped bars and 422 points?a particularly encouraging performance for their first time competing. The Osmoz team, led by Sébastien Mongruel, rounded out the podium with 8 dropped bars and 405 points.

Finally, the Black Pearl team, represented by Cédric Murat, received the Clean Ocean Project Trophy for retrieving an abandoned buoy at sea, an act that was praised for its commitment to the environment.

Beyond the sporting results, this event in Noirmoutre reaffirmed the spirit of the Suzuki Master Fishing: competition, camaraderie, and respect for the marine environment.
