The Kraber 190 is a very easy-to-use popper that will satisfy both beginners, who have no trouble using it, and experienced anglers, thanks to its excellent performance!

Kraber 190

The Kraber 190 is a popper from Jackson, measuring 19 centimetres and weighing 72 grams, which is pretty light considering its length.

It has an elongated shape, fairly even throughout its length to facilitate casting and thus optimize distance, which is important for a popper. It doesn't have an internal mass transfer system or balls, but even without that, its good design allows it to reach very honourable distances!

Le Kraber est assez uniforme.
The Kraber is fairly uniform.

Once on the water, it works just as well and is easy to handle. What's more, it handles waves and moderate currents relatively well, making it a great popper for beginners and experienced anglers alike.

Il est très facile d'utilisation.
It's very easy to use.

When it comes to the five colors available in France, the choice is rather limited and redundant. In fact, the five references are quite similar to each other, all with a silver base, embellished with blue or pink, which is typical of colors intended for sea fishing.

The colors are similar.

If you look at what's on offer abroad, you'll find a little more variety with, for example, a transparent and a gold model. It's a pity they're not available here, as they would bring a little more variety, especially the gold which can be very useful in tinted waters, when fishing from the beach, for example!

La couleur or est intéressante.
The gold color is interesting.

As far as the tackle is concerned, there are only very sturdy split rings supplied, so you'll need to plan ahead and buy some hooks. This is actually a good thing, because at least you can put in exactly what you want! As I'm a fan of single hooks, I recommend using single hooks in size 6/0.

C'est du solide !
Solid stuff!

The hooks are connected by a through-bracket, offering maximum strength.

Use

At 19 centimetres, the Kraber 190 is considered a large popper, best suited to beautiful fish such as striped bass, roosterfish, trevally and other marine species.

My opinion

The Kraber 190 is a superb popper. Its good balance makes it easy to cast and handle. What's more, it's solid and reasonably priced - in short, it's got it all!

Je recommande sans retenue le Kraber 190.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Kraber 190.

Despite its large size, it feels like you're fishing with a smaller popper. It's not tiring to use and that's great.
