Interview with Pablo, creator of Labana studio
It all started when I was very young. At the age of 6, my father, an avid fisherman, would take me out to discover my favorite fishing spots, both on the coast and by boat. From then on, the days passed so quickly that I despaired every morning. It became a passion that ruled my life until my honeymoon was a fishing destination. My background in design, marketing and advertising proved invaluable as I began to see solutions that didn't exist in the world of spearfishing, a field in which I've been active since the late 1980s.
After launching the Amegari brand in 2015 with another partner to bring it to fruition, I've been striving to produce ABS lures since 2016, but the complexity of handcrafted wooden production limits everything I'd set out to do.
In 2020, I set up Labana Studio to pursue my project, and all my current and future creations, currently in progress, are seeing the light of day, always with the highest possible quality to compete in a very complex market saturated with Japanese brands. Only by striving for the highest quality standards can one break into this sector.
With the help of my Chinese friends for development and production, I can work with a factory ready to produce an unlimited number of prototypes and tests. Since then, Labana Studio has become a reality, with products that improve with each new production run and creations that break away from the usual "one and the same" framework.
Dreaded poppers for hunting tuna
The Big Shake is Labana Studio's reference popper, specially designed for stalking large marine predators, including bluefin tuna. It is the big brother of the MilkShake range.
Measuring 193 mm and weighing around 100 grams, this popper can be used in all conditions and is easy to cast. The ten or so colors on offer are magnificent, ranging from fluorescent to more natural hues. This will enable you to adapt to any conditions encountered.
The Big Shake stands out for its ease of animation, offering great versatility. It can be animated by slow or slow pulls, interspersed with retrieves, or linearly at variable speed. A remarkable feature of this popper is its ability to pass beneath the surface when pulled, leaving behind a trail of bubbles. This phenomenon arouses the curiosity of predators, making the lure even more formidable.
Extreme robustness
Big Shake poppers are designed to stand the test of time and withstand the toughest fighting. Their body is made of ultra-strong ABS, and the 2 mm stainless steel through-armature, welded at both ends, ensures maximum strength.
The double-layer coating ensures that the lure withstands shocks, impacts and battles with powerful fish.
This lure is delivered ready to fish, already assembled with its frame, a rare feature worth highlighting.
Labana has chosen to use BKK Raptor Z 3/0 hooks and BKK size 8 split rings, so you can use it straight away without having to replace the rig.
