Snake Charmer
Jabbers is a brand that has the distinction of offering real travel rods. What I mean by real is that they are not made in three sections, nor in four, but in five! This five-section design makes transporting these rods even easier, especially as they come with a carrying case. Perfect for street fishing, but also for all other situations!

This number of sections may give rise to fears of a broken action or play between each section, but there's nothing to fear. The construction and adjustment of the joints is carried out with great precision, making the construction of the rods imperceptible. Honestly, with your eyes closed, it's hard to tell the difference between a single-strand rod and a Jabbers.
The brand offers a good variety of casting and spinning rods, including the Snake Charmer in its SCC-695MH version.

The casting power indicated for this Snake Charmer is 10-35 grams, which is quite accurate. The maximum line power suggested is PE3, but you can also use a PE4 line, especially for fishing overgrown areas and dropping fish - that's what it's designed for!

Aesthetically, the rod is rather simple. It's black, with a good thickness of varnish that gives it depth and, above all, protection, without losing tactility. What's more, the various markings add a certain charm to the whole.

It has a fast action, but with a bit of suppleness in the tip. This supple tip allows you to give the fish a few seconds of control on the attack, then strike firmly thanks to the stiffness of the rest of the rod.
This type of action is particularly suitable for crowded areas where hooking is complicated, but the fish must then be extracted quickly.
Finally, the Snake Charmer model is available in three versions, with maximum power ratings of 35, 70 or 150 grams, depending on the model.
Use
I had the chance to test my Snake Charmer on snakehead, the species for which it is primarily intended. For this species and frog fishing, this rod is indeed brilliant.

Of course, you can find other uses for it, like fishing for pike and black-bass, which it will charm! Its action is well suited to frogs, Texan-mounted soft swimbaits, spinnerbaits and chaterbaits, so all in all, it's pretty versatile!
My opinion
Jabbers is the brand of rods that has my attention more and more, because they really have it all! They're tactile, light, solid, have a modern design and, what's more, they come at a very reasonable price, given their quality.
Although the brand originates from Singapore and focuses on fish from that part of the world, it has had links and contacts with France for many years.
The proof is in the writing on the rods and covers!

This link offers wonderful feedback, so the brand draws inspiration from all the fishing around the world to develop the most accomplished rods possible for any situation, and that's exactly what you'd expect from a travel rod: versatility!
