New edition of the Open des Glénan, June 20 and 21, 2026

The Open des Glénan is a not-to-be-missed event for sea bass fishing enthusiasts in France. Organized by the Glénan Pêche Sportive association, the 13? edition will be held on June 20 and 21, 2026 around the Glénan archipelago, a place renowned for the richness and diversity of its seabed (sand, rock, seaweed...).

Key points of the event

Many participants are expected for this new edition. Nearly 130 crews of two anglers are expected from all over France.

Registration opens in mid-March 2026.

Rules of the Open des Glénan

This fishing competition is exclusively for lures (no bait allowed).

The target species remains sea bass, with a minimum catch size of 42 centimetres.

The competition takes place exclusively in "no-kill" mode, with fish measured and released immediately.

Ranking is based on the 5 best fish from each crew.

  • Logistics base: Port-La-Forêt, which will host a fishing village with entertainment, meals and social events.
  • The Glénan Open is supervised by nearly 60 volunteers. Volunteers who ensure safety, respect for the rules and management of the measures.
  • The aim of the Open des Glénan is to promote responsible sport fishing that respects resources and the marine environment.

At the last edition in 2023, victory went to brothers Ricardo and Carlos Da Silva from Quimper, adding their name to the prestigious list of winners of this national competition.
