APRIL Marine: 40,500 euros donated to SNSM in 2025

APRIL Marine, a loyal partner of the SNSM since 2012, is renewing its commitment by handing over a donation of 40,500 Âeuros for the year 2025. This support is in line with APRIL Marine's desire to promote safer and more responsible boating, on land, at dockside and at sea.

Saving lives

The official presentation of the donation took place at the SNSM station in Les Sables-d'Olonne, in the presence of Lionel Boismery, Managing Director of APRIL Marine, Christophe Monnereau, President of the station, Bruno Wojciechowski, Director of the SNSM de Vendée Training and Intervention Center (CFI), as well as volunteer sea rescuers. The total amount of ?40,500 is divided between the Les Sables-d'Olonne station, the Le Marin station, the CFI de Vendée and the SNSM national headquarters, as closely as possible to local needs.

This donation contributes directly to the mission of Sauveteurs en Mer: to save lives in the best possible conditions. It enables us to renew onboard equipment, invest in new safety equipment, finance volunteer training and maintain the nautical resources essential to our operations. For the CFI de Vendée, part of this budget will be used to refurbish the semi-rigid rescue vessel, including the complete replacement of the hull flanges.

Contributing to safety at sea

Since 2012, APRIL Marine has donated ?1 to the SNSM for every comprehensive yacht insurance policy taken out, enabling every yachtsman to contribute to safety at sea. In addition to this financial support, APRIL Marine teams regularly take part in training sessions and workshops with SNSM volunteers: first aid drills, setting off smoke bombs, using the life raft, checking safety equipment or even putting on the survival suit. A concrete way of reinforcing the safety culture of the company and its employees, at the service of all users of the sea, including fishermen.
