Hello Kévin, a little introduction for readers who don't know you yet?
Hi, I'm Kévin, 31 years old, like many, I've been fishing since I was a kid, both in the sea and in freshwater, from the shore or on board, in search of almost any fish. For over 10 years now, I've been involved in the "media" side of fishing, i.e. social networks, partnerships, article writing, etc...
Fishing was also my profession for several years, as I worked in a fishing store and then for the Delalande company. Today, fishing is no longer my main professional activity, but rather a secondary one, with passion at the forefront!
Why did you decide to go into rod building?
After meeting the Rodhouse team at the Clermont boat show some ten years ago, I started building my own fishing rods, first one, then two, then five, then ten, then one as a gift for my father, then a friend who wanted one, etc, etc... In the end, I built dozens of rods, and at the beginning of 2025, I took the plunge and decided to launch my own rod-building company: A Piuma.
As well as being able to combine work and passion, it's above all for pleasure that I build rods that meet the specific requirements of my customers, both technically and aesthetically. The positive feedback I get from my customers when they first use or catch their A Piuma rod is the greatest satisfaction for me.
Can you tell us about your work?
The name A Piuma, "the feather" in Corsican, was chosen partly for the light, technical side offered by rods made from rodbuilding, but above all for a more poetic aspect in which the fishing rod is the tool that allows you to write down the memories of your fishing life, just as you write with a feather in a blank notebook...
A Piuma is all about listening to the needs and/or desires of our customers, from ultra-light rods for freshwater trout fishing to trolling tuna rods, as well as rods for fly fishing, carp fishing, predators, etc... As you can see, whatever the technique and the species of fish you're targeting, it's possible to fit an A Piuma rod!

With all this, do you still have time to go fishing?
Honestly, yes, even if, like all anglers, I'd like to have more fishing time, I still find the time to go, especially with sessions with family or friends during which sharing a good time is often more important than the number of fish caught!
We can't leave without talking about your attachment to the island of beauty?
Corsica is where I grew up, and it's in its rivers, lakes and at sea that I forged my fishing experience and am still forging it, session after session and season after season. We're lucky enough to be able to fish for almost every species as the months go by, in both sea and freshwater.
Although I enjoy discovering other places when I get the chance, I don't think I'll ever tire of fishing in Corsica, its landscapes, the diversity of species, the quantity of fish it can offer us in one session and then keep it all for the next, in any case it's an endless book that I'm writing little by little thanks to my pens!
