Second edition of Crouesty Fishing, a successful celebration of recreational fishing

The second edition of Crouesty Fishing was held on May 3 and 4, 2025 at the Port du Crouesty on the Rhuys peninsula, organized by Le Mille Sabords in partnership with the Yacht-Club du Crouesty-Arzon (YCCA). This friendly fishing challenge brings together passionate anglers for a convivial competition focused on responsible sport fishing.

A real craze

The second edition of Crouesty Fishing, organized by the "Le Mille Sabords" association, took place this weekend in the magnificent setting of the Golfe du Morbihan. The event, dedicated to "no kill" fishing, attracted a varied public, including many young people and women, demonstrating the growing interest in this environmentally-friendly practice.

Crouesty Fishing is much more than just a fishing event, it's a celebration of nature and community. By promoting "no kill", it encourages a sustainable approach to fishing and inspires new generations to adopt environmentally-friendly practices. This event illustrates how leisure can be both enjoyable and responsible, while bringing enthusiasts together for a common cause.

A wonderful setting for bass fishing

The Gulf of Morbihan, with its picturesque landscapes and waters rich in biodiversity, provided an ideal setting for this fishing challenge. The "Le Mille Sabords" association orchestrated the event with an emphasis on conviviality and fair play. The target species was sea bass, with a minimum size of 42 cm, and a ranking based on the total length of fish released alive (1 cm = 1 point, maximum 5 bass per round).

By promoting "no kill", the event helps to raise awareness among participants and the general public of the importance of preserving marine ecosystems.

The participating teams demonstrated a high level of skill and sportsmanship, contributing to the festive and competitive atmosphere of the event.

Results of this second edition

  • 1st Place : TEAM CPPR / RODHOUSE 1 with 543 points.
  • 2nd Place : TEAM RODHOUSE 2 with 541 points.
  • 3rd place : TEAM ESCALE MARINE with 477 points.

Crouesty Fishing 2025 was a successful celebration of recreational fishing, combining competition, conviviality and respect for the environment in the magnificent setting of the Golfe du Morbihan.
