Bread and pasta, profitable baits
Bread and all forms of flour-based dough are easy and economical baits. A simple fresh baguette, or a little wheat flour and water to form a dough, is all you need for great seaside fishing.
Many species of fish that frequent the seashore are omnivores and appreciate bread and flour-based pasta. Saups, bogues, mullets and oblades will be the first to pounce on a well-presented piece of bread. But you can also catch sea bream or wolffish by fishing with bread or pasta.
Bread and dough will work best in calm seas, and regular baiting will bring the fish together on your fishing stroke. Harbour areas are ideal spots to prospect when fishing with bread or dough.

Worms to catch as many fish as possible
There are many marine worms that can be used during your various shore fishing sessions. Hard worms, half-hard worms, arenicolous worms, American worms, mourrons - all worms can be used to catch fish with good results. Wolf or sea bass, all sparids (sars, sea breams, pageots...), and the large family of rock fish will be common catches when fishing with worms. Worms can be used whole (use of a worm needle is recommended), in pieces or even in bunches.

Shellfish and crustaceans
Crustaceans and most shellfish can be used as bait. To bait your hook, it's best to cut small pieces of shrimp or crab, mussels or other shelled shellfish. The important thing is to cover the hook well, which should be adapted to the target species. All seashore fish are likely to bite when fishing with crustaceans or shellfish, whatever the biotope you're prospecting.

As you can see, a wide range of baits can be added to your hook, guaranteeing great seaside strike fishing, a fun fishing technique.
