Nearly 150 exhibitors
The event attracts some 150 exhibitors from specialist stores, rental outlets, vacation resorts and central purchasing agencies all over the world. You'll find all the latest innovations in kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddles, foils, wind foils, inflatables and all the equipment that goes with them: paddles, technical clothing, safety equipment, etc...
There's also a film festival, conferences, equipment tests, presentations of various competitions and, of course, a gala evening where the best products of the year are chosen. This is a trade show and is not open to the public.

New fishing kayaks
As far as fishing kayaks are concerned, all the major brands were present with their new products. Galaxy Kayaks, of course, had a stand with the 2024 models on display, most of which I've presented on the site.
For the occasion, the models were presented in new colors, with special trim and fully accessorized. While the Strike intrigued with its 360° bass boat-style seat, it was the Alboran FX3 that won the Fishing Kayak of the Year award. I introduced you to this kayak and showed it on video. The kayak is 4.09 m long and 80 cm wide. Powered by a stepper, it's also easy to paddle. On the stand, it was presented with an imitation wood trim for the kayak floor, available as an option on the brand's website. A new lithium-battery-powered 3LI propulsion motor was also fitted.
And for fishing accessories, the brand collaborates with equipment manufacturer Railblaza, distributed by InterDist in France. This float is the latest evolution of the Galaxy Kayaks brand's first fishing model, the Alboran14, released 10 years ago. The first models were paddle-powered.
The evolution of fishing kayaks meant that from 2020 onwards, the model was fitted with a single steppe drive, then in 2024, a new carrier box system enabled it to accept both steppe and pedal/propeller drive. It can also be fitted with a support plate at the rear for an electric drive. It was in this complete version that it was presented on the Strasbourg stand, a model that appealed to the professional jury...
